HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!
Many days have gone by, a full year in—fact
Allot I’d do over, and some I’d take back
It seems this past year, has just flown by
Remembering the thoughts, of when you first caught my eye
It was a Wednesday afternoon, on a hot summer day
I was watched by a lady, a short distance away
She stood there staring, to get a look at me
Not realizing for a second, she needed glasses to see
As I slowly walked over, planning what to say
I’d ask how she was doing, Finding out about her day
Making idle conversation, to see where it would lead
If the feeling is right, it would be easy to read
After talking for awhile, we met later that night
I knew from that point, we had hit it off right
One year has passed, and love has slipped in
If I tried to explain, I couldn’t even begin
Maybe it was the cruise, where we spent time alone
When we couldn’t be found, not even by phone
August ninth perhaps is what did it for me
For that was my day, it was planned thoughtfully
Whether it was cruising the sea, or the limo ride
One thing for sure, my love I cant hide
So Happy Anniversary, for all year through
This is just part one of what I’m giving to you
